The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III 1000 g Silver 2023 Proof is a unique item that commemorates the first British coronation in the 21st century - Charles III. The monarch was born on November 14, 1948 and comes from the Windsor dynasty. He is the firstborn son of Queen Elizabeth II, who preceded him. The ceremony will take place on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey.
The coin is minted from pure Ag.999 bullion, weighing 1000 grams and having a diameter of 100 mm, in the proof standard. Moreover, this extraordinary piece was produced by The Royal Mint, in an edition of 200 pieces. The product was placed in the original packaging. The coin is guaranteed by the British government as to its legality, purity and origin of the metal, and is also a legal tender in the issuer's country.
The obverse shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain wearing a crown, the inscription "CHARLES III∙D∙G∙REX∙F∙D" and the denomination and year, designed by Martin Jennings.
ReverseThe coin shows a "Royal Arms" shield with a crown, surrounded by ornaments containing floral emblems of the four nations of the United Kingdom and the inscriptions "THE CORONATION OF KING CHARLES III", "MAY 6, 2023". John Bergdahl is responsible for the design of the reverse.
