The monarch was born on November 14, 1948 and comes from the Windsor dynasty. He is the firstborn son of Queen Elizabeth II, who preceded him. The ceremony will take place on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey.

Obverse shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain wearing a crown and the denomination and year, designed by Martin Jennings.
