About the product

The Ouroboros colored 2 oz Silver 2022 Antiqued Coin is a noteworthy proposition from the renowned producer of precious metals - The Perth Mint.  "Ouroboros", derived from the Greek word meaning "tail eater", is an ancient symbol depicting a snake eating its own tail. The figure eight symbol was first used in the 17th century to denote the concept of infinity. The silver bullion coin is a figure-eight-shaped product made of pure Ag.9999 bullion, weighing 2 troy ounces and measuring 40.7 x 70 mm, antiqued standard. This coin is guaranteed by the Australian government and is a legal means of payment in this country. Importantly, it is a silver copy with a strictly limited mintage of 2,000 pieces. The item has the original packaging with a certificate of authenticity. The obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in the central part of the coin and information about the nominal value, weight, mintage quality and date of issue. On the obverse there are the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA". The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.Reverse shows a colored image of a snake devouring its tail. Additionally, The Perth Mint's mintmark in the form of the letter "P" has been engraved. Monique Reeves is responsible for the design of the reverse.
