The item presents the first dog to orbit the Earth - Laika. On November 3, 1957, it was sent into Earth orbit in the Soviet artificial satellite Sputnik 2.The copy was minted from pure Ag.999 ore, weighing 31.1 grams, with a diameter of 37 mm, in the proof standard. The product has a mintage of only 2,500 pieces.This unique piece was designed by Asamat Baltaev, DiS. and produced by the Czech Mint, and is also the official tender in Niue. The coin has a guarantee as to its legality, purity and origin of the metal. The product is delivered in the original box with a certificate of authenticity.The obverse of the coin is decorated with the image of the Queen of Great Britain, Elizabeth II and a flying saucer, the inscription "NIUE ISLAND", "ELIZABETH II" and the denomination and year of the coin. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.The reverse shows a colored dog - Laika in a satellite. The inscription "LAIKA" is placed on the reverse.
