The Kiwi 5 oz Silver 2021 Proof collector's coin is a combination of silver and gold, but also a combination of quality of workmanship and unique design.
The 2021 five-ounce coin is minted on behalf of New Zealand Post by BH Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH. The value has been minted since 2004 in the Kiwi collector's series.The "Kiwi 5 oz Silver 2021 Proof" coin is minted from pure Ag.999 silver, weighing five troy ounces and having a diameter of 65 mm, in the proof standard. This unique coin is produced in a limited edition of only 350 pieces. What's more, each piece is delivered in elegant packaging along with a numbered certificate of authenticity.Obverse the coin is decorated with a likeness of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown and contains information about the issue date, issuing country, weight and purity of the metal. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.The reverse shows a brown kiwi in a hole with two eggs. It is worth adding that the image of the titular bird is covered with a thin layer of gold. The reverse designer was Stephen Fuller.
