Cook Islands: Beijing - Temple of Heaven 5 oz Silver 2023 Ultra High Relief Antiqued Coin is an extremely interesting piece that was made with great attention to every detail.
The "Temple of Heaven" is considered the highest achievement of traditional Chinese architecture. The construction of the palace was completed in 1420 along with the Forbidden City in Beijing. Unfortunately, the original complex burned down in a fire caused by a lightning strike in 1889. A few years later, it was rebuilt identically to the original.The silver coin was minted from pure silver Ag.999, weighing 5 troy ounces, ultra high relief and antiqued. The mintage of the coin is 888 pieces. The product is a legal tender in the Cook Islands.The obverse shows the image of Queen Elizabeth II and the rear part of the "Temple of Heaven" palace. The obverse also bears the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "COOK ISLANDS" and the denomination. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.The reverse shows the "Temple of Heaven" palace in Beijing, China, the inscription "TEMPLE OF HEAVEN BEIJING" and the year of minting.
